ChocoBerry is an illustrated interactive story app. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have when using the app.

• Account and device information, including an anonymous device identifier, sign-in provider identifiers, email address when you choose email, Apple, or Google sign-in, and basic profile state.
• Story activity, including selected stories, generated scenes, choices, archive entries, shared replay links, generation status, and entitlement or generation-credit usage.
• User-provided content, including prompts, story choices, profile images, and other content you submit or generate in the app.
• Generated media and related metadata, including scene images, storage keys, file metadata, generation requests, responses, error details, latency, token counts, and provider-reported cost data when available.
• App diagnostics and analytics, including app events, feature usage, performance, errors, and approximate technical information such as device, platform, and app version.

How We Use Information

• To run the app, generate story text and images, save your archive, restore your account, and support sharing features.
• To enforce free and paid generation limits, prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve reliability.
• To understand product usage and improve the app experience.
• To communicate with you about account verification, support, security, and service updates.

Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate ChocoBerry, including cloud hosting, object storage, email delivery, analytics, authentication, and AI generation providers. These may include Hetzner, Cloudflare, PostHog EU, Apple, Google, and Gemini/Google AI services. Providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when you intentionally create a public share link, when required by law, or to protect the app, users, and our rights. Shared story pages may include the story title, generated images, scene text, and selected choices for that run.

Retention

We keep account, story, archive, generation, and media records while they are needed to provide the app, support replay and sharing, debug generation quality, and maintain accurate usage records. We may retain some records longer where required for security, legal, billing, or operational reasons.

Your Choices

You can use the app without signing in. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or email, your existing device activity may be linked to that account so your archive and usage allowance can follow you. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information.

Children

ChocoBerry is not intended for children. Please do not use the app if you are under the minimum age required in your country or region.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will update the date above and publish the revised policy at this URL.
